If you haven’t noticed, this site looks very different.  I am running it on a new platform, Drupal 7.  I have very little experience in Drupal, especially version 7.

Over the next few months, you are going to see a lot of changes.  Things may not work right, they may not look right.  Essentially, this website is going to be my playground where I can learn the ins and outs of Drupal.  It’s simply the only way I’m going to get this platform under my belt in the way I desire to do so.

So for instance, if something is supposed to be sorted by category, and it isn’t, it isn’t you, it’s me. I haven’t figured out yet how to do that. HA!  Or perhaps something was there, and is now gone. It may have been something I was trying out, and decided I don’t want it anymore.

Once I get the basic building blocks working, I will start working on theming. That’s when the fun is really going to begin.

Known issues:

  • Images linking back to the old platform, Images using the Zemanta module which I decided to not use, so I have to replace them, not sizing the way I like, not in positioning the way I’d like to position them.  And that’s just images.
  • I’d also like to sort content by categories that make sense rather than simply by tags.  I believe tags should be more granular while categories more broad.
  • Controlling how much text displays on the front page before you have to hit more.
  • Then, I’d like to make my own theme.

There is a lot I want to do. Now the hard part is learning how to do it.

So be prepared for a wild ride.
